SACRAMENTO COUNTY, Calif. — Two Bay Area-based online platforms, Roblox and Discord, are facing scrutiny from law enforcement and legal experts who say predators are using the apps to groom and exploit children — with serious real-world consequences.

Roblox, Discord, Yubo; these are just some of the apps raising red flags for detectives as places where adults with bad intentions go to seek out children. “It’s pretty much all inclusive,” said Kent County Sheriff’s Detective Nicholas Looyenga.
