After a very wintry day on Wednesday with most of the region looking at accumulating snow, and a little bit of rain shower activity before temperatures fell, and a little bit of snow for some in the afternoon, we’re going to keep the chance of a few snowflakes and cold temperatures into the forecast looking ahead into the day on Thursday.
Detroit braces for snow, freezing rain, and high winds, with more mixed precipitation expected through the week.
In Detroit, rain is expected to start Thursday night and continue into the weekend, mixing with snow starting Sunday, Nov. 9. Snow showers also are forecast for Monday, Nov. 10, according to the National Weather Service seven-day forecast.

Southeast Michigan snow forecast: How much to expect this week in Metro Detroit
Snow is coming to Southeast Michigan. Currently, two rounds of wintry weather are expected to arrive after a quiet Monday to start the week.
Detroit forecasts show a mix of snow showers, cloudy and partly sunny skies with fluctuating temperatures and some windy conditions throughout the week.
Frigid temperatures are expected across southeast Michigan through the rest of the week, according to the National Weather Service. NWS also warns that wind chills could fall to zero degrees between Wednesday night and Friday morning. Meteorologists with the agency also predict snow showers on Wednesday and over the weekend.
